What is ProposeTimes?
ProposeTimes is a free Chrome extension that adds a drag-to-propose tool to Google Calendar. You drag the time blocks you're free, and it generates clean, timezone-aware text you can paste into any email or chat.
How is this different from Calendly or scheduling links?
There's no link for the other person to click and no booking page. You stay in your own calendar, pick times visually, and send plain text — the most universal, friction-free format there is.
Does it handle timezones and daylight saving time?
Yes. Pick the recipient's city or timezone and the text is generated in their local time, with DST transitions computed correctly for the actual dates you propose.
What are holds?
Optionally, ProposeTimes can create matching "hold" events on your calendar for the times you proposed, so you don't double-book while waiting for a reply. You can undo them in one click.
Does ProposeTimes see or store my calendar data?
Your data stays between your browser and Google. Sign-in uses Google's own consent flow, holds are created directly via the Google Calendar API, and settings are stored locally in your browser. There's no ProposeTimes server.
Which calendar views does it work in?
Day, Week, 4-day, and custom multi-day views on calendar.google.com. Month, Schedule, and Year views aren't supported for drag-selection.
